General Terms and Conditions
Scope
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed via our website.
A consumer is defined as any natural person who enters into a business relationship with Happy Slipper that is neither commercial nor independently professional. Orders not of household quantities may be rejected without explanation.
Happy Slipper reserves the right to modify these GTC at any time. The version of the GTC valid at the time of the order applies, which cannot be unilaterally altered for that order. Conditions set by the customer that contradict or deviate from these GTC will not be recognized.
The operator of this website is Happy Slipper.
Information on this Website
Happy Slipper contains information about products and services. Changes in prices and assortments as well as technical changes are reserved. All information on www.happy-slipper.com (product descriptions, images, illustrations, films, dimensions, weights, technical specifications, accessories relations, and other information) are for illustration purposes only, should be seen as approximate values, and are non-binding. They do not represent any assurance of properties or warranties unless explicitly stated otherwise. Happy Slipper strives to keep all information on this website accurate, complete, up-to-date, and clear but cannot guarantee this explicitly or implicitly.
All offers on this website are non-binding and are not to be understood as a binding offer.
Happy Slipper cannot guarantee that the listed products will be available at the time of ordering. Therefore, all information about availability and delivery times are without guarantee and can change at any time without notice.
Prices
The prices listed on Happy Slipper are final and include VAT and any other legal duties like advanced recycling fees or copyright fees if applicable. Prices are stated net in Swiss Francs (CHF).
Additional shipping costs are calculated separately and are to be paid by the customer. Shipping costs are explicitly shown during the order process.
Technical changes, errors, and typographical errors are reserved, and Happy Slipper may change prices at any time without prior notice. Prices do not include consulting and support services.
Contract Conclusion
The products and prices on this website are considered as non-binding offers.
By placing an order on this website, including accepting these GTC, the customer makes a legally binding offer to conclude a contract. Happy Slipper will then send an automatic order receipt confirmation by email, confirming that the customer's offer has been received by Happy Slipper. Orders placed by the customer are binding. Unless noted otherwise, there is no right of return or withdrawal.
The contract is concluded as soon as Happy Slipper sends an acceptance statement by email, confirming the shipment of the ordered products or services.
Orders are only shipped after full payment has been received (except for delivery against invoice) and if the goods are available. If it turns out that the ordered goods cannot be delivered fully or at all, Happy Slipper is entitled to not accept the order completely or partially. In such a case, Happy Slipper will inform the customer by email. If the customer's payment has already been received by Happy Slipper, the payment will be refunded. If no payment has been made yet, the customer is released from the obligation to pay.
Payment Options and Retention of Title
The customer is provided with the payment options available during the ordering process.
Happy Slipper reserves the right to exclude customers from individual payment options without stating reasons or to insist on prepayment.
Happy Slipper can charge default interest of 5% per annum and a reminder fee of a maximum of CHF 20.- per reminder in case of late payment by the customer.
The products delivered to the customer remain the property of Happy Slipper until complete payment is made.
Delivery, Inspection Duty, Notification of Defects, and Return
Deliveries are sent by post or courier service to the address provided by the customer in the order.
Happy Slipper aims to maintain short delivery periods. However, delivery periods indicated in the order confirmation are non-binding. Happy Slipper is entitled to partial deliveries. In such cases, shipping costs will be charged only once to the customer.
If the delivery is undeliverable or the customer refuses to accept the delivery, Happy Slipper can dissolve the contract after notifying the customer by email and maintaining a reasonable extension period, and can charge the customer for the costs incurred.
The customer is obligated to inspect the delivered goods immediately upon receipt and to notify any defects for which Happy Slipper provides a warranty, immediately in writing by letter or email to the address in the legal notice.
Returns to Happy Slipper are at the expense and risk of the customer. The customer must return the goods in their original packaging, complete with all accessories, along with the delivery note and a detailed description of the defects to the return address provided by Happy Slipper as stated in the legal notice.
If the inspection by Happy Slipper shows that the goods have no detectable defects or these do not fall under the manufacturer's warranty, Happy Slipper can charge the customer for the efforts, the return or the possible disposal.
Right of Withdrawal
The customer is granted a right of withdrawal for 15 calendar days after receiving the goods. The period is deemed to have been observed if the customer sends the written revocation by email or letter (address according to the legal notice) and sends the goods back to Happy Slipper within the period. The revocation does not require a justification.
Exercising the right of withdrawal leads to a reversal of the contract. The customer must return the goods within 15 calendar days of receipt in their original packaging, complete with all accessories, and together with the return form to the return address given by Happy Slipper in the legal notice. Returns to Happy Slipper are at the expense and risk of the customer. A payment already made will be refunded within 24 business days after Happy Slippr has received the goods back or the customer can provide proof of shipment.
Happy Slipper reserves the right to demand reasonable compensation for damages, excessive wear, or value loss due to improper handling and to deduct the depreciation from the already paid purchase price or to bill the customer.
Return Conditions
Please understand that we cannot accept items back in every case. You can send ordered items back to us within 15 days of receipt. After reviewing the returned items, we will refund the purchase price. After 15 days, unfortunately, we cannot offer you a refund or exchange. Happy Slipper merely uses hyperlinks for the simplified access of the customer to other web offerings. Happy Slipper can neither know the content of these web offerings in detail nor assume liability or any other responsibility for the content of these websites.
Privacy
Happy Slipper may process and use the data collected during the conclusion of the contract to fulfill the obligations from the purchase contract and for marketing purposes. The data necessary for the performance of the service can also be passed on to commissioned service partners (logistics partners) or other third parties.
The privacy policy can be accessed in detail above.

1. PROTECTING YOUR PRIVACY IS IMPORTANT TO US
Hello! This statement describes how we, Happy Slipper (“Happy Slipper”, “we”, “us”), process the personal data you provide us when you use our website https://www.happyslipper.com (the "Website"). Please read it carefully.
Your privacy is important to us. Therefore, we have taken technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data you provide us while using our website.
2. WHAT TYPES OF PERSONAL DATA DO WE COLLECT AND WHY?
2.1 Processing of Orders Made Through Our Website
In connection with an order, we collect data such as your name (first and last name), your email address, your phone number, and your address. We process the collected information to handle your order and to contact you regarding your order if necessary (e.g., problems with payment processing or support issues in case of delivery problems). The lawful reasons for this processing are either the fulfillment of our contractual obligations to you (when an order has been completed) or our legitimate interest in enabling the completion of orders on our website (if an order is initiated but not completed, e.g., due to payment processing issues). You cannot become a customer of Happy Slipper if you do not consent to the processing of the aforementioned data. Happy Slipper retains your data for the purposes stated above as long as you remain a customer of the company and for an additional 36 months thereafter. Afterwards, they are stored in accordance with certain legal requirements, such as the German Accounting Act. After this period, your personal data will be deleted. Payment through the website requires the provision of additional data such as your debit or credit card details. We use third-party providers to process payments through our website. In the context of processing your personal data for payment, these providers act as data controllers. Providing the aforementioned categories of data is necessary for us to process your order. If you do not provide the required information, we cannot process your order. We retain data related to your order and transactions including any support emails regarding your order for accounting purposes or in case of delivery problems.
2.2 Use of the Website and Newsletter
With your consent, we may process personal data such as your name and email address that you voluntarily provide by activating the appropriate checkbox at checkout, also in connection with a product review or signing up for our newsletter. Any posted review will be retained indefinitely, and we will continue to send you our newsletter until you unsubscribe from further messages from us. In addition, we collect visitor statistics including visited content and pages, referring websites, and search queries conducted on our website. We use this data to personalize the online user and shopping experience and to continually develop, test, and improve our website. We do not collect complete IP addresses. Therefore, the collected data cannot be associated with you or used to identify you. To gather visitor statistics, we may use cookies or similar technologies. By activating cookies in your browser and using our website, you agree to the use of cookies.
2.3 What are Cookies?
To continuously improve the web presence for our customers, Happy Slipper can deploy cookies. Cookies are small software information stored on a customer's computer hard drive by web browsers (e.g., Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, or Mozilla Firefox) to facilitate the use of the website (e.g., language selection, shopping cart, etc.).
Some of the cookies used by Happy Slipper are deleted at the end of the browser session, i.e., after closing the web browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on the end device and enable Happy Slipper to recognize the web browser on the customer's next visit (so-called persistent cookies). The duration of storage can be taken from the overview in the cookie settings of the web browser.
Most web browsers accept such cookies automatically, but web browsers can be configured so that they do not accept cookies or that storage of cookies is displayed. However, deactivating cookies may restrict the functionality of the website. Details can be found in the user manual or the help function of the web browser.
2.4 Direct Marketing and Surveys
With your consent, we may use your email address to inform you about offers related to our products and services as part of our legitimate interest and send you direct marketing materials. Additionally, we may process information about your order history, order value, payment method used, and the country from which access to our website is made to send you relevant and tailored offers via email or other comparable electronic communication methods. You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for the purposes of direct marketing at any time and to unsubscribe from future messages from us. Our contact details can be found below. Moreover, we may process your name, email address, and order history to conduct customer surveys with the aim of gaining insights into how our customers perceive us and our products and services. Individual survey results are retained until the results are summarized at a broader level and then deleted. The aggregated information is retained indefinitely.
2.5 Statistics and Business Development
We may process the personal data you provide while using our website, including your location, purchased product categories, and information regarding the payment method, for statistical purposes, e.g., to see how many people in a certain age group bought a specific product. These statistical informations are used for business development purposes. The processing of your personal data is necessary within the scope of our legitimate interest to continuously improve our company and offer new products and services.
2.6 Use of Data: Google Maps
The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Happy Slipper uses Google Maps for the visual representation of geographical information. When using Google Maps, Google processes data about the use of map features by website visitors, which may include the IP address and location data. Happy Slipper has no control over this data processing.
To the extent that information is transferred to and stored on Google's servers in the USA, the American company Google LLC is certified under the "Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield."
To deactivate Google Maps and thus prevent data transmission to Google, a customer must disable the JavaScript function in their web browser. In this case, Google Maps can not be used or only used to a limited extent.
Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy at Google Maps Privacy Policy.
Google Ads and Google Conversion Tracking
The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
As part of Google Ads, Happy Slipper uses what is known as conversion tracking. When a customer clicks on an ad placed by Google, a cookie for conversion tracking is set. These cookies expire no later than 30 days and are not used to identify the customer. If the customer visits the Happy Slipper website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and Happy Slipper can recognize that the customer clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.
Happy Slipper learns from Google the total number of users who clicked on the ad and were redirected to the website tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, Happy Slipper receives no information that can be used to personally identify the customer.
Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy at Google Privacy Policy.
Google Analytics
The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Google evaluates the use of the website to compile reports on website activities and to provide other services related to website usage and internet usage to Happy Slipper. The IP address transmitted by the customer's web browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other data by Google.
The information generated by cookies about the use of the website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google observes the data protection provisions of the "Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield" agreement and has registered with the U.S. Department of Commerce for the "Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield" (information on the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield can be found at Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield).
Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy at Google Analytics Privacy Policy.
2.7 Social Media Content
Happy Slipper may use social media plugins from social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter on its website.
When a customer accesses a website containing
such a plugin, the web browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of the respective social network. The content of the plugins is transmitted directly to the web browser by the provider and integrated into the page. By embedding the plugins, the providers receive information that the customer's web browser has accessed the corresponding webpage of Happy Slipper, even if the customer does not have a profile with the respective social network or is not currently logged in. This information (including the IP address) is transmitted directly from the web browser of the customer to a server of the respective provider (possibly in the USA) and stored there. If the customer is logged in with one of the services, the social network providers can directly assign the visit to the Happy Slipper website to the customer's profile in the respective social network. If the customer interacts with the plugins, for example by pressing the "Like" or "Share" button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a server of the providers and stored there. The information is also published in the social network and shown to the customer's contacts.
These social network platforms have their own privacy regulations, over which Happy Slipper has no influence.
The purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the providers on their pages as well as a contact option and the related rights of the customers and setting options for the protection of privacy can be found in the privacy notices of the providers:
3. WHO HAS ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
3.1 Payment Service Providers
Your personal data may be processed by a so-called data controller who assists us in communicating with you. This processor processes your personal data only in accordance with the guidelines applicable to the purpose for which the data was collected. We use payment service providers to handle payments through our website. To process the order and fulfill the contract between you and us, we disclose information about your name, your address, your order details, your debit or credit card, and the device used for the purchase to the payment service provider. As previously stated, the payment service providers act as data controllers in the context of processing your personal data for payment handling.
3.2 Delivery and Storage Partners and Other Third-Party Service Providers
To process orders, we use third parties as delivery and storage partners. In this context, we disclose your personal data including your name, your address, and your telephone number along with the order information to our delivery and storage partners to process the order and to fulfill our contractual obligations to you. In addition, we may engage additional third-party service providers for the purposes mentioned in section 2, not listed in this section, e.g., to conduct customer surveys and send tailored offers. The third-party service providers we contract are legally bound to process your personal data only in accordance with our strict instructions and are not allowed to use your data for their own purposes. They are also required to take technical and organizational security measures to protect and secure your personal data.
3.3 Group Companies
For the purposes mentioned above, we may also share your personal data with companies within the Happy Slipper group. The disclosure to group companies is based on the same legal basis as the processing itself.
3.4 Other Third Parties
Finally, as part of our legitimate interest in complying with applicable laws and regulations, lawful regulatory requirements, or relevant orders from competent courts and authorities, and in establishing, pursuing, or defending legal claims, we may process and share the personal data you provide with other third parties than those mentioned above. Additionally, we may disclose your personal data in the event of a merger or a transfer of assets to third parties to serve our legitimate interest in conducting the respective merger or asset transfer.
4. WHAT RIGHTS DO YOU HAVE?
You have the right to request access to the personal data we store about you. You also have the right to request the correction of incorrect or incomplete personal data. Furthermore, to the extent that our data processing depends on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time. If you have any questions about how we handle your personal data, please contact us at hello@happy-slipper.com. Of course, you also have the right to file a complaint with your local data protection authority if you wish. Since May 25, 2018, to the extent provided by privacy laws, you have the right to deletion of your personal data, to restrict processing, to object to certain types of processing, and to data portability. The right to data portability applies to personal data that you have provided to us and that we process either based on your consent or to fulfill our contractual obligations to you. This typically includes your name, your email address, your telephone number, your address, your order details, and your order history. Product reviews that you have posted on our website and results from surveys may also be included.
5. TRANSFER OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA TO COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE EU/EEA
We use third parties as delivery and storage partners, who are based in China, Japan, and the USA. Therefore, your personal data may be transferred in connection with a purchase to a country outside the EU/EEA that does not have the same level of data protection as the EU and EEA. To ensure that your personal data is adequately protected, we ensure through data transfer agreements, which include standard data protection clauses adopted by the European Commission, that adequate protective measures are in place.
